'TEACHER' ARRESTED FOR ' EDUCATION FRAUD'

Chavron Lewis (38) of Hartbeespoort briefly appeared in the Brits magistrates court last week on charges of fraud relating to the alleged operation of unregistered educational institutions.
According to Senior Superintendent Junior Metsi, Provincial Head, Communication and Liaison Services of the South African Police Service, North West Province, it is alleged that since April 2009, Lewis operated an illegal home schooling business on a plot outside Hartbeespoort. OVER DUE TO POWER SUPPLY PROBLEM

THE SEWAGE MANHOLE IN DR.KOLBE AVENUEIN MEERHOF, WHICH OVERFLOWED FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO DAYS, HAS STOPPED AND THECAUSE OF THE OVERFLOW HAS BEENDESCRIBED AS A POWER SUPPLEY PROBLEM. MR PATRICK MORATHI, SPOKESPEERSON FOR THE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY OF MADIBENG, SAD THAT ELECTRICIAN WERE SENT TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND A POLTUTION OFFICER WILL ASSESS THE POSSIBLE PROBLEM CAUSED BY THE SEWAGE SPILL.

TWO INJURED IN COLLISION

TWO PEOPLE WERE TAKENTO HOSPITAL WITH MINOR INJURIES AFTER A BAKKIE AND TAXI COLLIDED HEAD-ON ON THE OLD RUSTENBERG ROAD EARLY ON MONDAY. MR NICE BOOYSEN, OWNEROF HARTBEESPOORT EMERGENCY SERVICE (NETCARE 911 ), SAID THAT THE TWO DRIVERS WERE ALONE IN THEIR RESPECTIVE VECHICLES AND THAT BOTH SUBTAINED LIGHT INJURIES. THEY WERE TAKEN TO BRITS MEDIC-CLINIC AND BRITS DISTRICT HOSPITAL RESPECTIVETY

MOTORISTS IN BRITS STARE IN AMAZEMENT AT THE WAY THIS TRAFFIC LIGHT ON THE CORNERS OF HENDRIK VERWOERD AVENUE AND CAREL DE WES AVENUE WAS FIXED AFTER IT WAS DAMAGES IN AN ACCIDENT AND THIS HAS BEEN THE STATE OF THE ROBERT FOR A WHILENOW. ONE POLE WAS PROPPED UP IN A DRUM AND THE OTHER FIXED TO IT WITH PLASTIC CABLE. WHAT MOTORISTS WANT TO KNOW IS: HOW IS THE TRAFFIC LIGHT STILL ABLE TO WORK?

Well-know resident shot in house attack

A well-known and years long resident of Broederstroom is still in the intensive care unit of a Pretoria Hospital after she and her husband were attacked outside their home late last Thursday night. The 58 year old Farida Jalalpor has undergone reconstructive surgery to her shattered jaw after she was shot in the face during the attack.

Three local ATMS bomed in five days

Three Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) were bombed in the Madibeng area since last Friday and the latest incident at a shopping centre in Broederstroom on Tuesday morning left service station staff and security officials shocked after robbers fired shots to keep the officials from stopping them.
